The 90’s sportswear revival is in full swing and one of it’s long time big players Champion is at the forefront. Founded in 1919 in Rochester, New York by the Feinbloom brothers, Champion can truly claim sportswear heritage. Since it’s humble beginnings designing and providing athletic apparel to the U.S Military Academy to kitting out the stars of the NBA, it’s been a fruitful, insightful journey.
Known for it’s iconic logo, sportswear enthusiasts, fashionista’s and celebrities now wear Champion; it seems to be everywhere right now.
The brand began its resurgence with a string of huge collaborations with some contemporary designers, including: Supreme, Vetements, A Bathing Ape and Wood Wood. These collaborations can undeniably be thanked for their drive in Champion’s revival, but the brand has very much stuck to its core values.
Champion’s bread and butter has always been classic silhouetted sportswear drenched in the labels heritage and this is what they’re continuing to produce. With some tidy t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoods and sweatpants, the brand is definitely on point.
